This album is preposterously sweet. I have continually been impressed with their work and they seem to really be coming into their own as a band. 

Also, it is def worth checking out Sawdust, which is a collection of rares and B-sides of theirs. 

Things to be thankful for.

With thanksgiving right around the corner it seems only appropriate that some wonderful culinary creations would be rolled out...

If there is nothing better than roasting a duck and chicken inside of a turkey, than it is roasting a bacon wrapped duck and chicken inside of a bacon wrapped turkey. 

If only the pilgrims could get a look at this bad boy...

In other news, tonight seemed like a perfect night to try to incorporate some sort of eggplant into a pasta sauce. This was my first time ever actually working with eggplant and I must say that I am incredibly impressed with my results. All said and done, it was a roasted red pepper, baked eggplant, roasted garlic, banana pepper marinara served over bow-tie pasta. "Robust" is an adjective that comes to mind. 

This culinary adventure came about as an attempt to follow in the footsteps of a good friend of mine, who was gracious enough to surprise me with a jar of his own eggplant sauce last weekend.
